Boogie On Beaumont

The week begins with 'Boogie on Beaumont', Friday evening in downtown Hamilton. We'll be blocking a portion of Beaumont Street and creating a street party atmosphere with two stages. One near The Northern Star Hotel and another near The Kent Hotel.
Come along and be amazed by the sounds of 'Robbee Williams Live', 'The Porkers', 'Rubix Cuba', 'Fish Fry', 'Elephant Funk', 'The Rattlesnakes' 'The Civic Big Band'and 'The Warners Bay Jazz Ensemble'.

Punk n Grind

The 'Punk and Grind' all age's event will once again take up the space at Wheeler Place on Saturday night. Some of Newcastle's finest young bands will play. Go to the 'Punk n Grind' page for a list of bands and their biographies. There will also be giveaway's and other good things happening on the night.

The Boardwalk Sessions

On Sunday afternoon the Boardwalk Sessions will be in full swing. Featuring acoustic soloists and duos playing their own original compositions, this year we'll change the scene slightly and head east a little. Come and relax at the Queen's Wharf Brewery, take in the sensational scenery and be transported into a musical haven.

Monday Metal Madness

Monday night at The Cambridge Hotel unleashes 'Monday Metal Madness'. This event caters for all the disciples of Heavy Metal, with some of the best metal bands from the Hunter Valley and Central Coast area, and an international headline act. More information on the 'Monday Metal Madness' page.

Full Strength Rock

Thursday is Full Strength Rock night at The Cambridge Hotel, featuring a selection of some of the hottest bands in Newcastle, plus a free BB-Q. Go to the 'Full Strenght Rock' page for more information.

A Major Music Expo

If you're into music at all, any kind of music, in any way, be at Newcastle City Hall on Thursday Nov 1 for the 'A Major Music Expo'. Industry professionals will be conducting seminars and taking workshops to demonstrate and discuss all aspects of the Music Industry. Music wholesalers and retailers will set up stalls to showcase the newest musical tools available.
Guitar, bass, drums, vocals, turntables, media promo and other workshops will happen throughout the day. One of the highlights of the day will be an A & R seminar. Bands will be able to submit CDs and have an industry panel critique them on the spot. Let there be School Rock

The event will showcase emerging school age bands from the Newcastle, Central Coast and Hunter Regional areas, exposing original young talent. It provides an opportunity for young bands to perform in front of Music Industry professionals as well as their peers.
Each school is invited to nominate one band to enter the competition, and these bands will battle it out in a series of heats and semi-finals for a chance to perform at the Civic Theatre in Newcastle, with great prizes also up for grabs.

Resonate

Resonate

Friday is the grand finale of Newcastle Music Week. Bands that have come through the heats and the semis of the 'Resonate - The Music Industry Showcase' and 'Let There Be School Rock' will perform in front of a panel of industry A&R reps, managers and agents. As well as this, and the prestige of playing at the Civic Theatre Newcastle, there'll be a handsome prize pack up for grabs. With special guest performers, raffles and lots more, it will be a fitting finale to a very musical week....

The inaugural Godcast will feature 14 Christian artists across 3 stages on a Sunday afternoon that will showcase genres from rock to acoustic, punk to hardcore.

The Soundlounge
